Within the often romanticized idealism of "life on the farm" family members are pitted against each other; fighting for their own autonomy and the often competing strength of sexual desire. Set in rural America in the early 1960s, this contemporary folktale is an expressive exploration of provincial insularity, sexuality and the law.
